Missler
The German manufacturer of sawing equipment and storage systems, KASTO Maschinenbau, has bought the sawing machine division of Missler Technologies, France, and taken over service of its bandsaws and circular saws worldwide. It follows Missler's decision to cease manufacturing machines and refocus activities on its industrial automation and CAD/CAM software divisions.
KASTO's subsidiary in Southampton has consequently assumed responsibility for servicing and providing spares for the 180 Missler machines operating in 128 companies throughout the UK.
With its global sales and service network, KASTO is ideally placed to assume worldwide responsibility for providing continuity of back-up to Missler saw users. The entire stock of spares has been transferred to KASTO, which has also employed three engineers from Missler's service department. The UK arm of KASTO has already trained one of its six engineers specifically on Missler technology, with additional back-up available from the German parent.
