High Performance Bandsaws
Production saws are the "crown jewels" of all bandsaws. State of technology today are modern control technology via industry PC's with technology memory of the cutting data of all current/common materials, operator-friendly handling of the machine due to operator guidance and discontinuance of hydraulic adjustments/set-ups. The operator only needs to select the material and number of pieces and the machine adjusts automatically. Over the past years, a distinct trend toward carbide cutting has been observed: Today, carbide machines have a market share of 70 % and work - thanks to further developed carbide bandsaw blades - highly economical with cutting rates of approx. 80 - 120 cm²/min. and more. Especially high-tensile alloys like nickel-based materials, i.e. Inconel 625 and 718 or austenitic steels like 1.4301 or materials with tensile strengths up to 1900 N/mm² can also be cut economically, even in larger diameters. Sturdy machine construction with high-damping materials like mineral cast for vibration and noise reduction, linear guides, frequency-controlled drives, sensors for automation and cycle time reduction characterize these machines. Carbide technology requires higher machine expenditures to utilize the higher performance capacity
